William Pashe, Sancta Maria mater Dei. Like Sturmy’s ‘Exultet’, this is a work from the Peterhouse Partbooks by a composer most of whose works have tragically been lost. An antiphon to the Virgin Mary, recorded in 2001. It was drawn to the Art of Music’s attention by a recording (now long since unobtainable) made in the 1990s by students at Exeter University directed by David Allinson.
