New: The Margaret Lion piano playlist...

... is now available on the Music page (for the site members). The list contains pieces played in several concerts which took place over the years in the Music Room Oetrange (piano Blüthner).

Margaret Lion is a New Zealand pianist, born and educated in Dunedin, studying piano with Maurice Till at the University of Otago, then with Gordon Green and James Gibb in London and Vlado Perlemuter in Paris.

She has continued to promote the music of New Zealand composers actively ever since, often presenting all-New Zealand programmes. So we may hear contemporary works by Lyell Cresswell (*1944 /Who's afraid of Red, Yellow & Blue) and John Psathas (*1966) in the playlist.

Let's start with the Rondo op.11 in E-flat major, composed in 1804 by Johann Nepomuk Hummel (1778-1837 / podcast).
